Where To Eat In: Maui, Hawaii

Maui is a Hawaiian Island unlike any other and the food helps tell its unique story. While my husband and I were traveling around the island, we enjoyed meals from casual to fancy, and everything in between. We are definitely foodie connoisseurs, so we narrowed our favorite restaurants down to these TOP 3! These results come out of a plethora of research and trial + error + taste testing! These top 3 picks are places you can’t leave the island without visiting — I promise you’ll have a meal that’s truly out-of-this-world!

  1. Tin Roof Maui: THIS IS THE PLACE! One of Pearson and I’s favorite chefs, Sheldon Simeon, created this amazing gem. His food is prepared in a traditional Hawaiian way and truly showcases the cuisine of the island. Based on his childhood growing up on Hawaii, he learned how to cook under tin-roofs that lined his town. Tin Roof is right next to the airport and is the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner… definitely stop here!

Must Have: Mochiko Chicken (truly the best chicken of your life)

  2. Merriman’s Kapalua: Merriman;s is literally the BEST place we could have gone in all of Maui. Their service is unbeatable, food is glorious, and location is the best of all! Right on the water, the views while eating are unreal: sunset, drinks, and live music. Top notch service and their Mai Tai’s are the best on the island! But make sure you grab a reservation early— their reputation makes them fill up fast!

    Must Have: Mai Tai’s

  3. Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread: Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread Shack is like coming home to your Aunty making warm, sweet, tropical, and delicious home-cooked banana bread… but this time, in Maui! It’s truly worth the hype and perfect on the Road to Hana! Make sure to grab 15-10,000 loafs, though, cause you’ll be dreaming about it for years. Additionally, their smoothies are the perfect accompaniment to your loaf!

    Must Have: Banana Bread Loaf

So there you have it! The Top 3 Best Places to eat in Maui! I recommend all of these highly and truly think they are each worth a visit. My husband and I visited many more restaurants, but these were the 3 most noteworthy and worth sharing. If you have more recommendations, please leave them in the comments section below! I’d love to hear from you!
