Where To Eat In: Oahu, Hawaii

Oahu is known for breathtaking views, rich history, and amazing food— in fact, it’s arguably the most food-rich out of all the Hawaiian Islands. It’s unbelievable culture and plethora of amazing restaurants make this island a foodies paradise. My husband and I explored high and low to find you the BEST of the BEST. Without further adue, here are the top 8 restaurants you must eat at in Oahu!

  1. Moku Kitchen: Moku Kitchen is a GEM! This is the perfect place to go for a casual yet delicious dinner. Their Mai Tai’s are the best on the Island and their truffle fries are to-die-for! However, our absolute favorite item was the green beans… no joke, these were the best green beans we’ve EVERRRR had! You won’t go wrong with anything here!

Must Have: Mai Tai’s & Green Beans!

  2. MarukameUDON: Ok. When I say this is the best noodles you will ever eat, I mean these are truly the best noodles you will EVER eat. This speciality noodle restaurant makes all their noodles in house, and combines them with flavorful broth and toppings. It’s truly one of the best flavored meals I’ve ever had! It’s strong Asian influence makes this restaurant the perfect place to eat in Honolulu!

Hack: order your food to-go and eat it on the beach overlooking sunset (there is always a really long line!)

  3. Island Vintage Coffee: This restaurant is the best place to go for a Hawaiian breakfast! Everything from Açaí bowls, avocado toast, to the most amazing bagel breakfast sandwich you will ever eat! It’s in the heart of Waikiki Beach and has the best coffee, too!

Must Have: coconut latte and bagel breakfast sandwich

  4. Farm to Barn: Do you want the best burger on the island?! Farm to Barn specializes in locally farmed ingredients for all their menu items! After a long day of surfing, this is exactly what you want!! Trust me when I say this is the best burger I’ve ever had: stuffed with mozzarella and topped with tomatoes, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and basil aioli on a taro bun 🤤

Must haves: Nela’s Burger with Maui Onion Chips

  5. Leonard’s Bakery: Leonard’s Malasada’s are out of this world!!! These speciality Hawaiian donuts are filled with cream, fluffy, and covered in sugar! Truly the best breakfast treat or afternoon pick-me-up ever!!

    Must have: Malasadas!

  6. Kono’s BBQ: Kono’s has the best BBQ on the island, hands-down! It’s amazing flavors & heartiness make it the perfect place to eat on the North Shore!
    Must have: BBQ Pork Plate

  7. Coco Cove: Believe it or not, the best (& cheapest) places to get fresh poke in Honolulu are at convenience stores! They sell it by the pound and it’s SO GOOD. I was weary of getting poke here at first, but was quickly addicted to how amazing it was! Coco Cove was our favorite place to get it because of how delicious it was & how close it is to the beach!

Pro Tip: take your Poke across the street to the beach and eat it while watching sunset!

  8. Uncle’s Ice Cream Sandwiches: If you’re an ice cream lover like me, you will LOVE these Uncles ice cream sandwiches! Although they are found in multiple locations across the island, Whole Foods has the best selection of flavors! These are soft, creamy, and the perfect Hawaiian ice cream treat— Grab a couple for your vacation and enjoy them on the beach! Not planning on stopping at a grocery store?? They are worth an extra stop!

    Must have: Cookies and Cream!

So there you have it! The Top 8 Best Places to eat in Oahu! I recommend all of these highly and truly think they are each worth a visit. If you have more recommendations, please leave them in the comments section below! I’d love to hear from you!
